Master of Time – Field of Infinite Possibilities

Questioning our concept of time and reality is enough to boggle the mind. Like a “Magic 8 ball” that is shaken and it’s only response is “ask again later” bouncing in a dark pool of bubbles.

Researchers have found that “changes in the brain in those who imaged playing piano are the same as in those who actually played piano. Really, your brain doesn’t distinguish real from imaginary!”
(http://drdavidhamilton.com/does-your-brain-distinguish-real-from-imaginary/). This conclusion is drawn by taking a snap shot of the areas of the brain that light up when you are visually seeing something in front of you or imagining it. Yes that snap shot lights up the same exact areas.

In digging even deeper during another study, it was discovered that “reality and imagination aren’t just two opposite ends of what’s going on in our minds. So how does all of this help us master time and access infinite possibilities? “You have been conditioned to believe that the Past, Present, and Future are all separate, sequential experiences. Yet this is simply a useful illusion. Linear time (as we know it) does not exist.”

HOW IS ALL THIS USEFUL?

Brain studies now reveal that thoughts produce the same mental instructions as actions. Mental imagery impacts many cognitive processes in the brain: motor control, attention, perception, planning, and memory. So the brain is getting trained for actual performance during visualization. It’s been found that mental practices can enhance motivation, increase confidence and self-efficacy, improve motor performance, prime your brain for success, and increase states of flow – all relevant to achieving your best life!

This practice is used by athletes, surgeons, SWAT teams, pilots, musicians, actors, teachers and successful businessmen and women.

Begin by establishing a highly specific goal. Imagine the future; you have already achieved your goal. Hold a mental ‘picture’ of it as if it were occurring to you right at that moment. Imagine the scene in as much detail as possible. Engage as many of the five senses as you can in your visualization. Who are you with? Which emotions are you feeling right now? What are you wearing? Is there a smell in the air? What do you hear? What is your environment? Sit with a straight spine when you do this. Practice at night or in the morning (just before/after sleep). Eliminate any doubts, if they come to you. Repeat this practice often. Combine with meditation or an affirmation (e.g. “I am courageous; I am strong”, or to borrow from Ali, “I am the greatest!”).

Reach out to your best self and create your reality from within.

THE POWER OF FEELINGS VS. THE POWER OF LOGIC BRAIN: the weight loss battle.

So many people have been a part of the constant struggle for physical health, particularly when it comes to weight. We try everything from pills & shakes to surgery and flushing intestinal washes that promises to slim us down, keep us full, burn more and flush out toxins. Yet we often find ourselves right back where we started and more depressed about it than ever.

We rack our brains and think for endless hours about what we did wrong and how much we suck at sticking to a program, any program. When you can’t see your mind’s own blind-spots, it’s like you’re playing a rigged game. You can try to figure it out all you want – but freedom is not achieved through thought. Ruminating the past pain, doubts, fears and struggles perpetuate the same states of being over and over again. It is a self fulfilling prophecy.

Let’s meet that part of the brain that is the ring master of this circus:
The Reticular Activating System.

It is all part of the Brain Stem which is located on the back base of your head. The functions of the reticular activating system are many and varied. It contributes to the control of sleep, walking, sex, eating, and elimination. Basically, it controls all our primary functions for life. Perhaps the most important function of the RAS is its control of consciousness; it is believed to control sleep, wakefulness, and the ability to consciously focus attention on something. In addition, the RAS acts as a filter, damping down the effect of repeated stimuli such as loud noises, helping to prevent the senses from being overloaded.                                                             The RAS is in the Brain Stem.slide_4
This part of the brain, which controls or basic life functions also controls consciousness and is part of our mental filter. You know what else is part of our base life functions? SURVIVAL! Yes this part of the brain controls activation of your “fight, flight, and freeze” responses. It wants to keep you safe. It considers your memories, feelings of pain, hurt, fear, and anxiety. It also likes things to stay exactly the way they are. Change is scary! The RAS wants safety and stability and hey its easier to deal with what we have always known instead of changing it right?

You get yourself pumped up and your logic mind is all over this fantastic new diet plan and exercise is looking good too. You get started and feel highly motivated to finally reach your goals. Then it happens again, about two weeks into the process you body starts with pains, messages of self-doubt and seemingly logical “reasons” to fall away and retreat from this new thing you are doing. That is your RAS system sabotaging the heck out of your success.

Creating change requires new habits. But how the heck can we get past this wall our RAS system sets up? Forcing a new habit through sheer logic is difficult to effect a lasting change in habit. So LOGICAL THOUGHT ALONE WILL NOT CREATE CHANGE.

We know what we need to do to loose weight. How to eat better, prepare food, what kind of exercise to do, but it just doesn’t seem to stick long enough to get results.

The key to the breaking down the barrier and making lasting change is EMOTION.
Yes FEELINGS are our key to unlocking those subconscious controls that hold us back.

Our body holding on to weight is not simply because we eat like crap or just don’t know how to loose weight. It is part of our subconscious emotion/feelings attached to memories and past hurts. As you get closer to changing a habit the RAS activates triggers, emotions, chemical responses that derail the process because it wants to SURVIVE by achieving flight, fight or freeze. You might sense this as a panic attack, chest pain anxiety, physical aches that keep you from being active or craving foods that keep the weight on. 

“By being lighter, you are going to be more in tune with your body and your emotional states. If you are not prepared to deal with those emotions, chances are you are not going to allow the physical to lighten up. You don’t want to deal with it! So in those cases, you’ve got to go and look at what’s going on emotionally. And we are not talking about issues that are necessarily tied to food and diet. We are talking about everything across the board; in your relationships, in your perceptions of yourself and what you are doing in life. You can’t separate the two.” (Kenyon, Tom. PUSH THOUGH THE ROAD BLOCK

There is power in knowing what is going on under the surface of the conscious Logic Brain. How can we push though that road block when we come face to face with it on our journey to create a new habit?

There are two choices when you realize this moment has arisen:
1. You can fall into thought – activate the logic brain which is being manipulated by your RAS activation of “Fight, Flight or Freeze” based on bad memories, pain, doubt & fear.
OR
2. You can tune into the feelings, resolve them and point your focus on your goal.
The key here is FOCUS. Laser like focus. I am reminded of the story of a city being demolished and as the people ran away they were told not to look back at the destruction or they will turn to stone. If you look back into your past while trying to move forward, you fears and doubts will freeze you in place.

“When you fall into thought, you look at “what is” (or your “spellbound” interpretation of what is) and you think something like, “Aw, shit… this?”. Then you refer to memory and you look at all the things that that reminds you of – the things we have already associated unconsciously with what is in front of us. And we give a second, “Aw, shit… this reminds me of that!” With our focus on “what is” and “what was”, we are unconsciously aiming the “Focus of Creation Power” into the formation and creation of “more of the same”, and that’s why things keep repeating. HOW TO TUNE IN: ATTACH POSITIVE EMOTION

To effectively persuade your subconscious mind you do not go into your head and try to “figure out” the answers. Rather, you tune in and “feel into” the energies that arise in response to the question “How am I feeling?”

Diets often suggest keeping a food journal. I would see that and cringe. In the past, it had made me feel horrible about myself and I would just stop writing in it all together. Here is the kicker: YOU ARE NOT YOUR FOOD JOURNAL! It is pure data. Not good. Not Bad. Just data. Suspend judgement on yourself and they answers will present themselves. Don’t just write down what you ate. ALWAYS wright down how you felt before, during and after eating it. Same goes for eating so called “bad food”. Eat it, record it and wright how you feel.

THEN RIGHT HOW YOU WANT TO FEEL.  Because that is the heart of the story isn’t it. You want to feel good, feel better, feel like you look better, feel, feel, feel.

If you have such an emotional attachment to those foods and you really want to have that pleasure but you continually deny yourself, the negative emotion that builds up is far more detrimental to your body and overall success of healthy habits than if you had had the cookie or ice cream and processed the toxins out. So you’ve got to find a balance there. Denying yourself, or simply the constant perception of denial, can do more damage than actually having the food.

Weight loss is not simply about weight. It is about what we have been through in our lives and the journey of trying to loose that weight means facing the past consciously so that it can be resolved. Look it in the face and say “you have no power over me”. You yourself can create change. The power is literally inside you.

It has been pointed out that I reference Jesus and Catholicism often in my posts and there is speculation that I am a Catholic or Christian.
Here is the scoop about me: I AM ALL.

I was raised with the traditions and education of a Roman Catholic, which makes drawing on those stories pretty easy. By the age of 14, I began questioning the teachings and begun researching religion and the spirit world on my own. The similarities between the major world religions stood out in a large way. When you have two opposing stories, I find that the truth is usually somewhere in the middle.

I believe that Jesus and Buddha taught with the same goal in mind – enlightenment / ascension. I believe that the religious infrastructures have been twisted through out our history for political power. The message became something to keep people in line with their governing body. “Believe without question” is a political manipulation not a message from any God.

Where I am in this life journey is “I am what I am”. I am me. My spiritual beliefs are throughout many world religions, including those called Native & Pagan. We are vibration. We are frequency and so is everything else. We are separate beings though forever connected. Death is not an end. Universal Spirit, Source, Creator, God are all the same thing to me. I do not attend a “church” because I do not support a politically manipulated system. My church is in all nature. “Move a stone and you will find me. Split a piece of wood and I am there”.

I guess my religion is LOVE, COMPASSION, LAUGHTER, and CONNECTED CONSCIOUSNESS.

Water is a molecule created when one (1) Oxygen atom combines with two (2) Hydrogen atoms. These two atoms absolutely love each other and they form an amazingly strong “Hydrogen bond”. This strong bond they create together along with the way their electrical charges dance with each other are the base of what makes water so special.

Together Hydrogen & Oxygen form a Polar Molecule. This means they have something special that not all molecule pairs have. One side that is negatively charged and one side that is positively charged.

It is cleansing, rejuvenating and relaxing physically, mentally and spiritually. Water has a purity which represents spiritual truth. The fact that it is the universal solvent it is the ideal medium for cleansing away impurities of all kinds.

The source of all creation, due to the energy manifested on Earth, has utilized water to cleanse the planet more than once.  Many religions and cultures tell legends about the great floods that washed over the land to wipe out negative energy and make a fresh start. Water isn’t only life for creatures and plants, but also part of the body of Mother Earth. We come into this world in a “sack of water”. When a mother’s “water breaks” the baby is born into the world. Water can give life to the physical being and it can take life from the physical being.

The Catholic Church utilizes water during baptism to wash away “original sin”. The person is submerged in water during a ceremony of prayer and blessing. This washes away the old and brings the spirit to a new beginning. The use of water is important for its own symbolic value in three ways: it cleanses and washes away dirt, fills everything it enters as God fills those who are immersed in Him and we need water to survive physically as we need God to survive spiritually.

What has been used as a blessing has also been used as a weapon. People have utilized blessed water to fight, repel and transmute negative “evil” energy. In Norse Mythology it was used to torture the mischievous God Loki. While in Greek / Roman Mythology it was used to bless the baby Achilles with immortality. Well, all except his “Achilles’s heal”, which was not immersed in the river Styx.

WATER IS A PASSAGE WAY

It’s a passage from life to death, from third dimensional reality to another dimension. It can easy the way between our conscious inhibitions and higher spiritual self within our unconscious space. Rivers and creeks are often seen as symbols of time and life, always flowing and ever changing. As the Greek philosopher, Heraclitus said, “No one ever steps in the same river twice, for it is not the same river and he is not the same person”. 
The way of love on a spiritual journey is a flowing energy like “living water”.

There is reference to water assisting in dimensional movement in the movie Constantine and in the movie Stigmata. The thing I find interesting when it comes to references in art, such as literature, painting, theater and movies, is that while it is dramatized and created for entertainment, the idea had to be planted and moved from the subconscious to conscious thought. Creativity in all forms is nudge from spirit. It’s sharing universal truth a spoonful at a time.

WAYS TO UTILIZE WATER IN SPIRITUAL PRACTICE

Showing thanks, praise and love to our water each and everyday can be done with your first glass in the morning. Help keep our waters free from pollutants.

While taking a shower or a bath utilize that time to say a prayer or mantra to cleanse away negative thoughts and negative energy that may be clinging to your being. Close your eyes and visualize the water moving through your inner space washing through every cell and rinsing that which is not needed right down the drain.

Water has a very high vibration frequency second only to Light. Find a moment to sit by a stream or river and enjoy the sounds of the water. A shallow brook or stream is fantastic to soak your feet in while sitting or wading through it in a walking meditation. Water can assist in raising your vibration and rejuvenating your Chakra centers.

Visual meditation for relaxation/trance:
You can use a visual of a beautiful river, pool or ocean counting back from 10-1. As you step closer to the water or descend the stairs into the pool count down. At number five your feet should be in the water up to your ankles until you start to float into that water at number one. When your feet touch the water you can feel it move against your body. You can smell the ocean (if that is the place you are visualizing). The more senses you use for your visual the deeper you will immerse in that reality.

What is the big deal with Crystals?

Crystals are pretty! Just about every person you talk to has liked a crystal at some point in their lives. From a Diamond ring to a chunk of Amethyst used as a paperweight in your bosses office, shiny rocks draw our attention.

Crystals have been used in medicine and healing forever. Today, if is considered “alternative”, “New Age”, and some refer to it as out right nonsense. Getting into the politics and religious arguments surrounding crystals is beyond the scope of this post and may be discussed another day. Right now I would like to geek-out on the cool science behind crystals.

The most common chemical elements in the Earth’s crust are; Oxygen (46.6%), SILICON (27.7%), Aluminum, Iron, Calcium, Potassium, Sodium, and Magnesium.

Oxygen and Silicon have a very attractive relationship. They love to bond! When they come together they make the molecule of Silicon Dioxide (Silica). It forms the platonic solid called a Tetrahedron.

This is one of the basic shapes that make up all things. It is part of the Sacred Geometry, universal patterns used in the design of everything in our reality.

You may recognize the word SILCA, it is what makes up sand and quartz crystal. This cool molecule created with sacred geometry is all over the earth.

Of the most common chemical elements in the Earth’s crust, we need Oxygen, Iron, Calcium, Potassium, Sodium and Magnesium to have a healthy body and survive. The interesting part here is that we don’t really hear much about Silicon being needed for a healthy body, BUT IT IS!

CRYSTAL VIBRATION FREQUENCY:
Things we know: All things in our reality have a frequency vibration. Some of these vibrations we can see in the form of color, some we can hear. We can’t persevere every variation of this vibration though we know it exists, such as UV light, X-Rays, and Infra-Red. Atoms and molecules vibrate a frequency. This vibration is information be it “hey look at me I’m the color red” or “you’re listening to radio station hits1234!”

The biggest part of the mind boggle is that some stuff we know exists even if we can’t see it or hear it which paints a giant picture in our minds of all the stuff around us that is doing things and sending out vibrations that we just don’t even realize. Not being able to receive, recognize or understand that frequency vibration does not mean it therefore does not exist. *POOF MIND BLOWN*

download (3)We have been using crystals in our technology for a long time. In radios, watches and computers to name a few. So we KNOW that crystals do have a vibration frequency and have been using that for our many technological creations.
This picture is a quartz crystal resonator, used as the timekeeping component in quartz watches and clocks. It is formed in the shape of a tuning fork. Most such quartz clock crystals vibrate at a frequency of 32,768 Hz.

CRYSTALS REMEMBER DATA:
Silicon is the building blocks of our most common rocks, basalt, granite, schist and sandstone. This includes crystals such as quartz, Amethyst (purple variety of quartz), Datolite, Tourmaline, Rhodonite, Chalcedony, Opal, and Carnelian to name a few.

Pure Silicon is not found in nature because it loves to bond with Oxygen and form different types of compounds. Silicon is obtained by heating silica, or silicon dioxide with carbon or magnesium (or some reducing agent) in an electric furnace.

This pure Silicon is used to create the layers of microchips. The silicon holds data in it’s pits & raises that we designate as 1 & 0 binary code. There are different ways to store data but lets just say the cool thing here is that the data CAN be stored on these chips of Silicon without continued electric current. So yes, just sitting around this silicon has a frequency vibration and stores data. Clearly this can get way more complex, but for me this sums it up nicely 🙂

How does this relate to using a rock or crystal to help heal your body? 

Each crystal has it’s own frequency which resonates with our bodies frequencies.

The structure and color play a part in the vibration for each crystal.

Color has a frequency and can be measured in a less complicated way thinking of it as keys on a piano.

Each Chakra has it’s own color/frequency vibration.
By placing stones and crystals which correspond with these color energy points on the body you can assist the body in correcting it’s tune, balancing, relaxing and healing the body.

Now the skeptic is quick to point out that they don’t “feel anything”. If you are expecting a jolt that will knock you off your feet it’s not gonna happen. Ask yourself if you feel your tv across the room? How about your wi-fi, UV or X-Rays? We don’t feel an X-Ray but it absolutely effects our body and can produce an image on specialized paper as proof. Writing it off that stones and crystals do nothing begins to seem too ridged and simplistic. They do something even if we don’t recognize or perceive it with our conscious mind right now.

Talking Empathy with a Vegan

While hanging out in a social media group for “Empaths” I fell into an animated conversation regarding the long time battle between Vegans & Everyone else.

To have empathy is to be able to understand another persons feelings. Those within the Empathic groups declare that they have a strong connection and ease at sensing other peoples feelings without needing other forms of communication. For example: I don’t need you to tell me you are sad, I can feel that you are sad already.

When I joined in the conversation there had already been many points made about how much better for you a vegan life style is over those that eat meat or even a vegetarian diet. Most people in this group, as I would expect of those that feel the pain of others deeply, did not eat meat and the thought of killing animals was very upsetting. I just had to jump in and rock the boat with my wild notion that:

“Everything we eat was once alive; therefore, a vegan is no better than anyone else. The most important part is to be thankful for what ever it is you are eating. Be respectful and thankful for the food, be it plant or animal. It has died so that you may live.”

I was pretty quickly blasted by some very angry vegans that were quite upset that I seemed to be rocking that large pedestal they had placed themselves on. “Plants are not sentient beings!”One argued.

Well then what is “Sentient” anyway?

In Buddhism, sentient beings are beings with consciousness. Composed of five aggregates: matter, sensation, perception, mental formations and consciousness.”

Here we have the “Seven Life Processes”. Here is the awesome thing, Plants do all these things listed here!

Plants have parts that move. They move to find water, collect the sunlight for food. They make their own food too! They respond to light, heat and other stimuli.

The big daddy of them all…. Plants DON’T WANT TO DIE! They protect themselves from predators and work hard to heal themselves when they are injured. When it comes to consciousness ask yourself if you are still a conscious being when you are sleeping. Plants do feel, respond to sensations and stimuli. Plants literally clean our air and breath for us.

So how is any of that different from an animal? I was told very passionately “are you crazy! Plants don’t have a nervous system!”

They sure do have a nervous system. Not exactly like a human or animal with a brain & a spine. One thing I have sure learned along my life’s journey is that just because we don’t understand something doesn’t mean that it isn’t happening or doesn’t exist. Just because we may not understand plant communication doesn’t mean that they do not communicate.

Here is a fantastic article from Scientific American which talks about amazing discoveries in understanding how plants communicate, think and remember. That all sounds incredibly sentient to me. I do believe that eating foods in the vegetarian or vegan diets is a natural way to assist our own bodies in energizing to a higher physical vibration. If a person that enjoys this diet then goes out and argues with others in a negative mean-spirited way then doesn’t that cancel out all the good vibes they just got from their food?

At the end of the day, no mater what you eat, be it meat from an animal or plants from the garden, we need to NOT BE WASTEFUL. We need to not kill plants needlessly just like we need to not kill animals needlessly. Respect all that is life and respect all that gives life. Period. It is in that respect and understanding the blessing of the cycle of life for all things that we expand our own consciousness on our path to enlightenment.

After this long discussion I took my leave from the group because it had appeared I was in an emphatic group which some members truly did not feel empathy for others and this includes plants.

Fear is the virus. Awakening is the antiviral.

Imagine that fear is a virus. A virus is an infectious agent that replicates only inside the living cells of other organisms. Viruses can infect all types of life forms, from animals and plants to microorganisms. The fear virus is powerful. It attacks our heart, mind and soul. The symptoms are anger, hate, aggression, anxiety, feeling of doom, and distrust. The physical signs are restlessness, unable to sleep, tension muscle pain, pressure in the chest, high blood pressure, and head aches to name a few.

Here is our fear virus inside a living being.

We fight against viruses with “Antiviral injections”. Your body is introduced to a neutralized virus so that your cells can get a look at it. The next time the live version of that virus appears your cells will recognize it and put their shields up for protection.

Now we can’t go running around injecting people with our “anti-fear” serum.  We can’t make people see that they have so much fear, never mind make them get inoculated against it. As always the best thing we can do is knock that virus out of our own system. Create our personal universe (our inner aura field) to be a FEARLESS zone.

We can walk around all day in our own aura field being constantly tested by outside forces and influences. The violence, negative speech, and hate abounds in our societies. Living in a cabin in the woods away from it all is not the only answer, abstaining from being around it all doesn’t always work out the way we hope/plan.

Here in lies the answer. We spread the “anti-fear” serum by just being and being with others. Be the light-hearted beacon for those around you.
hqdefaultAs we move through out our lives we will bump against many that are consumed with the fear virus. It isn’t our spirits burden to save people from themselves. We can share some of our light. By carrying our light, our “anti-fear” serum with us where ever we go, it can spread from one aura to another. My universe can affect your universe.

They way to inoculate our selves from fear is to awaken and enlightenment. As we work toward that goal we must remember that fearlessness is not the absence of fear, it is having courage in the face of fear to do what needs to be done.

There are many wandering paths to enlightenment and the state of being “awake”. All these paths have in common are Love, Honesty, Compassion, Trustworthiness, Kindness, Respect, and Light-Heartedness. Be the change you want to see in the world.
